Sam Sparro created a pop single. Katy Perry took that single and made it into a sexy, acoustic ballad. Then Sean Ryan came along and stripped that ballad to form an all-encompassing, ethereal experience.

If you choose to remake something, go all in. Own it. Make it yours. Otherwise, leave it alone. Don’t mess with another man’s creation if you have no intention of being creative. 

Standing on the shoulders of giants requires you aim a little higher. Taking a step down or maintaining the status quo is not an option. Go all in or stick to karaoke.
